We were delighted to see our Prestatyn Furniture showroom included in a recent WalesOnline feature about Prestatyn High Street.
The article explores how Prestatyn has maintained a busy, independent-friendly town centre at a time when many High Streets are facing difficult conditions. It highlights the importance of local support, personal service and businesses offering something customers cannot easily find elsewhere.
Bringing Our Family Business to Prestatyn
Prestatyn Furniture opened at 86 High Street in August 2023, becoming the second showroom operated by the family behind Coast Road Furniture.
Our family business began in 1972 and has served customers from Connah’s Quay, Deeside, Flintshire and the surrounding area for more than five decades. Opening in Prestatyn enabled us to bring the same approach to customers along the North Wales coast.
Both stores share the same core principles: carefully selected furniture, straightforward advice, dependable customer service and free local delivery and setup.
A Warm Welcome from Prestatyn
Since opening the Prestatyn showroom, we have been extremely grateful for the support it has received. Customers visit from Prestatyn itself as well as Rhyl, Denbigh, Abergele, Colwyn Bay and other communities along the coast.
As the WalesOnline article explains, Prestatyn benefits from an active High Street filled with independent shops, cafés and other family businesses. It remains somewhere people can spend time, speak to knowledgeable local retailers and see products properly before deciding what to buy.
That is particularly important with furniture. Customers can test the comfort of a sofa, compare mattresses, operate a riser recliner and view fabrics and finishes in person before placing an order.
A Shared Commitment to Quality Furniture
Like Coast Road Furniture, the Prestatyn store specialises in quality furniture from trusted manufacturers. The great majority of the furniture sold across our stores is British made, including many of our sofas, chairs, beds and mattresses.
We are proud that our family business now serves customers from two North Wales showrooms, each rooted in its own local community.
