Four Popular Bed Packages: Mattress, Storage Base & Headboard Included
Posted by Tom Hughes on
When you need a complete new bed, comparing prices can be confusing. Does the price include the mattress? Are drawers extra? What about the headboard?
Our package deal beds bring those essentials together. Each of the four offers below includes a mattress, two-drawer divan base and headboard, with a choice of base and headboard fabrics at the same price.
These are four popular choices in our store, each with a different feel and appeal. All four mattresses are available to try in store, so you can compare them before deciding.
Our four featured bed packages at a glance

These are example sizes and package configurations, rather than the only options available. Ask us about prices for other sizes or storage arrangements. Prices are correct at the time of writing in October 2026 and may change.
Mayfair: a complete single bed for £299
The Mayfair package bed is a popular choice for older children. Its medium-feel, open coil mattress makes it a useful starting point when you want a complete single bed at an affordable price.
For £299 in a 3′0″ single, you receive the mattress, a two-drawer divan base and a plain headboard. You can choose the base and headboard fabric without changing the package price. A patterned headboard is available at extra cost.
The drawers provide useful space for bedding or other bedroom essentials. Before choosing their position, check that there is enough room to open them alongside bedside furniture.
1000 Pocket: a complete double bed for £449
Our 1000 Pocket package is particularly popular for older children and spare bedrooms. It has a medium-firm pocket sprung mattress, giving you a different feel to compare with the Mayfair.
The 4′6″ double package costs £449, including the mattress, two-drawer base and plain headboard. All available base and headboard fabrics are the same price, with patterned headboard upgrades available at extra cost.
For a spare room, it offers a complete double bed without having to choose and price each component separately. As with any mattress, it is worth trying the feel: “medium-firm” is a useful description, but your own comfort matters more than the label.
Oxford 1000: a complete king-size bed for £719
The Oxford 1000 package bed is especially popular with couples. Its pocket sprung mattress combines a firmer feel with plusher fillings, making it worth comparing if you want firm support with a more cushioned surface feel.
At £719 for a 5′0″ king size, the package includes the mattress, two-drawer divan base and a designed or patterned headboard as standard. You can choose from the available base and headboard fabrics at the same price.
If you are comparing it with the 1000 Pocket, try both in store. The combination of support and fillings makes a difference to how a mattress feels, so choosing between them involves more than comparing their names.
Elegant 1500: a firm-feel double package for £599
The Elegant 1500 package is popular with customers who prefer a firm mattress. This pocket sprung model is a useful option to try if softer mattresses do not suit your taste.
The 4′6″ double package costs £599, including the mattress, two-drawer divan base and a designed or patterned headboard as standard. All available base and headboard fabrics are included at the same price.
A firmer mattress is a preference, rather than an automatic upgrade for everyone. Comparing the Elegant with the other models will help you judge which feels most comfortable for you.
Choosing your fabric and headboard
All four packages offer a choice of fabrics without a fabric surcharge. The main difference to remember is the included headboard: Mayfair and 1000 Pocket include a plain headboard; Oxford 1000 and Elegant 1500 include a designed or patterned headboard.
For the Mayfair and 1000 Pocket, choosing a patterned headboard increases the price. We can show you the options and confirm the complete total before you order.
