Most people don't realise that sleeping position should influence the mattress they buy.

Around three quarters of adults spend at least some of the night sleeping on their side. While this position is often considered one of the healthiest for spinal alignment and snoring reduction, it also places far greater pressure on the shoulders and hips than sleeping on your back.
